About TexasET

The TexasET Network was started in 1995 by Guy Fipps as a project of the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service, Biological and Agricultural Engineering Unit. The Network received no State or Texas A&M System funding and relies on fees and other support provided by station sponsors. Most stations on the network have a local sponsor who purchased the station and convers communication and maintenance costs. Charles Swanson handles the day-to-day management of the Network and helps sponsors troubleshoot weather station problems when they occur.
